Dovedale
Dovedale is a beautiful limestone gorge along the banks of the River Dove that is popular with many tourists as well as climbers. Dovedale is rather open and visible although there are also some impressive outcrops that are hidden from view. The area is easily accessible thanks to several car parks, specifically one to the south of Dovedale on the A515 between Ashborne and Buxton. The area is home to several exciting buttresses including Ravens Tor, Ilam Rock and the Tissington Spires, all which offer fine and exciting climbs.
